I've looked EVERYWHERE and have yet to find anything.
SO, can someone help me out here?
I want to hardwire my ps/2 keyboard and mouse to usb.
Each type of ps/2 connector only uses 4 wires, so I'm good.
Now, how the hell do I do this?

In my truly honest opinion, your better of purchasing an adapter, but if you insist on making your own adapters and frying your usb ports, here are a few schematics you might want to look at:

Why would this fry my usb ports if all it's doing id hardwiring it instead of using an adapter...
I'm not stupid, I know how to solder lololol
-
it wouldent fry the port. they shutdown automaticly when to much current is drawn. all you have to do then is uninstall the drivers and reinstall them
-
So tec_, is this possible or should I just buy an adapter? o_o

dude, those things are cheap see if you can find one in your local dollar store.... cause the one in my town has those.

Yes, because dollar stores carry electronics and computer parts.
Not.
My grandma has one. I'll probably just ask her for hers, since she doesn't own anymore ps/2 things.
-
it would be more of a hassle to make one than to get one

agreed.... but hey do u really like want one or you just want to use the keyboard??? if you just want to use that keyboard, just chop off the ps/2 connector and solder the wires to a usb one...... but its your decision.. do what you feel like :yess:

I don't think a USB/PS2 adapter counts as a computer part.
And pound land over here carries web cams among other things.
