Hi all! I have a wireless controller (Matrix board) that I'm trying to do the ABXY mod. I would like to wired it up in a way that when the center X button is pressed down, activating the controller, all the buttons will also light up. I'm looking for a switched + volt solder point location that would work with the 3mm white led's that I'm using in this mod. I have checked out Llamas tutorials but the way they having it wired is from a wired controller. If I was to follow Llamas wiring hook up for wireless controller, I would have to installed a separate switch just to turn them on and off. If someone knows were to find this switch + volt location, Please come forward. I would highly appreciate. Thanks...

Thanks for your reply! But, are the (+) solder point locations switch. Meaning, constant (+) volts even if the controller is off. If they are constant, then an external added switch would be needed in order to turn off the led's when ever the controller is no longer in use. Thanks..

the ones in the middle are constant....

So is the ones at the buttom too, because I tested it out with the controller off. Any way, I finished the mod which I end up putting an external switch to operate the led's at any time.

the points at the bottom are only on once u turn on the controller... here for example a video of my controller..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_akdhGkTIc (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_akdhGkTIc)

Nice skull face plate. According to the video, I noticed that 3 out of 4 buttons were lit up as the battery pack was put into place. Leaving the blue button to light up as soon as the X button was pressed down. I see what your talking about. Perhaps, I need to double check my contact points again. Whats the voltage coming out of the + solder contact? Anyway, Thanks for your support and video. This really helps out.

np man and i believe both of those points ur 3v if u voltage meter u can test it while the controller is on.

I think this is what you are looking for: http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=509315&st=15 (http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=509315&st=15)
Scroll down 5 posts to the one from RDC and you will find all the pictures.
you just need an NPN transistor and a 1k resistor. Hope that helps :winker:

Thanks for the additional info and web link. I didn't think that a transistor besides the normal use of a resistor was additionally needed in order to make the right connection. I'm saving the info for further research on future controller led modding.
