Title: Need help with RealVNC please.

ok so i downloaded realvnc got it to work on my network as in i can access my computer  with my sisters computer but i cant get it to work and other peoples houses.

i have a server running that takes my ip and makes it a domain but still no luck

so can anyone help pls?

VNC servers aren't meant to be used from another house or something like that. As far as I know you can't do that, it's meant to be used on the same IP as the host computer.

VNC server needs to be running on the computer your trying to access find the IP gateway (i cant remember witch) of that computer and use VNC viewer on the computer you want to use to access the vnc server.

or try log me in (logmein.com) they have a free version that is secure ware VNC is not.

yea i got it to work finally. had to opens ports up.

and yea u can file share on it using the pro version.

we use logmein.com and a form of VNC at work we no longer use radmin because it is not PCI complaint

yea ive noticed logmein.com runs a but smoother the realvnc

now i need to get music to play on the vnc

anyone know how to do that

I use vnc at work free version. it can be a pain to get working correctly, you need a static ip assigned to the host computer, and then must open the proper ports and point them at the port of the host computer, its realy not that bad. I use it to write proposals, and invoices from a customers office, so everything is loged back on the home surver. It took around 4 hours to get all set up.

real vnc4 is the program I use. I take full control over the host computer, it actually locks out the interface if someone is sitting there, and it looks freeky if someone is watching. I had an inturn pull the plug on the host becouse he thought someone was stealing our files...what a tard.
