Well I havent used my psp for a few months and i have all these LM380 audio amplifiers aswell as all these LEDS lying around i want to put to use
My only problem is, it seems that when there is pressure on the lcd cage (for example when the face plate is on) it will not charge. Charges perfectly when the faceplate is off
I dotn think anything is shorting as i covered the entire cage in tape, is there anything else that can be causing this?

it might be that the psp wasn't put back together correctly (i've done that a few times myself, lol!). check that the mobo is sitting in the case correctly and check the metal frame 'under' the mobo is also seatted correctly. if one of them is out of place then you could find problems with charging or other functions.

Alrighty ill give this a shot on the weekend, removing the motherboard to check the cage was basically the only thing i did not try, as i do not like removing that thing
Edit: Yeah and i guess that makes sense why the battery drains when its in, and its completly off

Also make sure that the power connector (beige part on the end that slides into the contact on the mobo isnt lifted). Theres a metal contact under it that does the charging. Ran into that a few times myself, usually a blob of solder under it helps if it wont stay seated.

Alrighty ill take a look, but ive never pulled the power plug off the motherboard cuz i was nver able to get it out and didnt want to pull too hard
ugh installing psp toolchain takes 100% cpu and lags my typing lol
Going to port my java/VB.net game to psp, though ive never worked with psp coding before but its just c++, only other thing i would have to learn basically is button presses :)
