Quastions that you may have:

Q: What is the purpose of this MOD?
A: Having a DS Slide would just be great FUN!
And not only that but with this MOD you can Play Game Boy Advance games
withouth having an extra screen just being blank and in the way.

Q:Will the DS still have all it's normal functions?
A: Yes, All I will do is remove the Top half of the DS Lite and attach it to the back of the DS.
Attaching a slider mechanism to make it slide back and forth freely.

Q: What gave you this idea?
A: Just came to me.

Q: When will you do this MOD?
A: As soon as I have the needed material and parts.

Q: HOW can I do this MOD?
A: Ones I finish it I will post a FULL tutorial on it.
And then those that wish to do this MOD can.

Q: How hard is this MOD going to be?
A: This is something I can't answer at the moment.
Ones I do this MOD I can let you know.

one massive huge problem you will encounter: sleep mode

once you slide that down, the speakers are going to be out of view and thus a hug loss in audio quality will be experienced

also, the speakers are the magnets that activate sleep mode, and in a lot of ds lites, there is a gel blob covering the magnet switch. So your going to have to relocate the speakers or the magnet switch, but then your going to lose sleep mode when you just close the ds lite

once you over come that im sure it'll be a very enjoyable mod

can he put like a switch or another magnet to activate sleep mode again?

Nice. You're going to be the big guy who gets the best DS mod here done XD I'm sooo far away from getting all of my parts still.

Got a broken DS Lite of eBay.

Will start work on DSlide when it arives. :)

I have a good idea on how to keep the DS screens safe.
I might be able to slide the top screen back and close it normaly to protect the buttom screen.
At the same time solving the sleep mode problem. :D

sleep mode isnt your big problem... flex cables are...

ive already tried this, and its pretty much impossible

i work in a cellphone repair shop, and am able to use their parts, so believe me when i say ive tried everything XP
