hey guys
my friend needs to extend the life on his ipod. im thinking of suggesting to him to purchase a replacement battery and wire that one into the old system (perhaps a parralell circuit with teh old one) and then create a new case (or use a small tupper ware container)
if anybody can help us out it would be great.

im hoping to at least double the battery life.

Well there's no way you're going to fit 2 batteries in there. And I personally see no point in fashioning your own back unless it's gonna be...good. And that would be hard as anything. If you guys do that, post about it cuz that would be AWESOME. Lol

yeah i know theres no way to fit 2 batteries in a case
the whole background behind this project is my friend is goingt o a remote island in New Zealand and he will only be able to have access to teh "modern" world once a week. would it also be possible to make an ipod run on AA AAA or a 9v battery? that may be a better option (althouhg more expensive in teh long run)

Actually, yes. You can make a charger that charges it using AA batteries, or the like.
I don't know how to make one myself, but you can buy the at some places online.
