got my ps3 today and it worked but when i tried to update it it gave me error code 8002f14e and now it wont turn on at all  :help:

what did ity do when it shut off on you? did it gve you a yellow light when you try and turn it on now? if you were trying to update to 2.40, theres your problem. 2.40 is nicknamed the "bricker" firmware.

somthing must've fried inside i guess. go on google and search the error code. sorry i cant, my wifi is slow.

the main problem is the power not coming on... anyone got a spare power supply for a 40gb?

have you tried uninstall the latest version  ?  or delete it and reinstall the currant version it was on before

LOL sorry... forgot to say that i tried my friends power suppy and it worked
