OMG, this christmas was much better than last christmas

I got a 100mhz oscilloscope OMG!!!

dont even know how to use them lol (my dads spare one, they cost a fortune)

and a variable power supply (I blew up a pencil with it LOL)

new multimeter (mine was really old, and didnt even have diode and transistor testing, not every accurate either)

Some new tips for my soldering station (I had a chisel one, much better to have a presice needle type one for delicate SMD work

oh yeah, Left 4 dead aswell

amazing considering I come from a poor family

I reeeeeeaaaaaalllly want an oscilloscope.

The Oscilloscope, not much, maybe i can help with some kind of PSP devolpment, like getting more information on the audio on PSPs, although, then agian, my dad will teach me how to use it, and that will give me more of an idea what to use it with

I dont know much about the oscilloscope, need to go into more information with my dad, but its a desk one (not a portable one), nice large screen lol, its black and im pretty sure its 100Mhz

The psu, not 100% sure, it was also A spare one that he had, all I know is that it goes from 1v to 25v DC or something close to that, and the highest amperage is about 20A

It has analogue meters (the needle type), which ofcourse, isnt that acurate, so Im gonna order a volt meter and a matching amp meter and mount it on my wall and connect it, not only will it make it look cooler and easier to tell the info, but it will give me a connection closer to what Im working with

Now all I need is a proper desk, maybe in a few weeks, I will get one of those ones that are anti static :D

Go to farnell, they have anti static everything, although getting an anti static desk in your case is way overkill just for psp modding. They are used in professional engineering environments, just make/buy a wooden desk and put some antistatic carpet/mat on the top and ground it.

Thanks for posting that Alien. I needed that.
hmm..I might as well ground my whole desk too lol

Ok, I'll get everyone up to date with what I get tommorow at home, It's mum's turn for christmas and I got NFS Undercover (360), A new bike (it pwns) and £45 to go on either modding tools and supplies (again depends on the conditions of my PSP, Sitting 2 months in a carpeted room with the face plate + screen removed isn't my best idea yet >_>) Or a new hard drive. I'm getting a netbook (I know I am due to my step-mum saying she is going to pick one up + I saw it in a bag when we was coming home from hers, don't ask my family life is screwed) and I'm getting money from my family over there.

For modding I'm thinking a clear faceplate and an akari V2 modchip, and maybe dual nub. And maybe a jewel. What do you guys think?

EDIT: I just realised, not sure if I can get Akari V2 due to me having a slim (TA-085), so a PulseVU 2 will do the job. Does all I wanted from the Akari V2 anyway.

Awesome

Not sure yet, but I will be doing it when Im in year 11 (im year 10 now), but I wanted something advanced, something to do with LEDs (because the world will end without them lol), I could mod a psp for it LOL, nah forget the PSP idea, not very complicated theory wise

Also I dont make enclosures for it, just the bare PCB

I was thinking of building something like a display, that displays like something important, and has many pentiometers on it, controling my pcs volume, lights inside

Either something like that... or a bomb :D

awesome skull that is pro. what rolex is it.

cool phen i made a jacket with a removable back piece that could be interchanged for different designs that was water proof and linked to a small controller box in an inside pocket that powered the el-wire design and had 3 options steady, pulse, random. so you had one backplate with a horse on it in el-wire that was for riding horses and another design for police and another design for construction workers etc etc the possibilities were endless
