this is not second have it was new and did not come with the wire above.

okay well the wires "behind it" are called molex adapters. Most power supplies have this. If you power supply has enough power you should be alright. The only other problem would be if your board has pci express x16.
-
well i have a pci exp 2 x16and a atx 400watt power supplywith 4 extra pins are they the ones i can use as the card has 6 pins
-
Your power supply most likely is not strong enough for the whole system. You may need to buy a new one
-
i know my pc is power full to work it all as my motherbourd is less and 1month old from being built so its a very new oneso would a 500w+ work it or just get that wire???
-
That Molex adapter Is whats Gonna Power your Card, Well the PCI Express x16 will also serve has a Power host but it wont be enough to fully utilize your 9600 GT. I had a few Video cards that were power demanding that used the 6pin connector. and Needed the 6pin connector, if your PSU is under 400 i say up it.. to at lest 550 watts,Also your saying the powersupply unit to the motherboard is 20+4 this is good and that adapter will help.

thx just what i wanted to hear
i have a 4400+ amd x2 daul core so that will be taking up most of the power so i mite need a 500+ supply and that wire to run that card fully?

From my experience It need the 6pin adapter to power it. I had a 400watt so I upped to 550 and worked just fine. can you tell me how many watts your CPU will pull. mine is 125watts (its OC'ed was 65watts).. so that was a big factor in my psu upgrade.
-
i dont know how much its taking up but i think ur right as my cpu is only using 3-4% and running abit slow.

ah ok then. Yea on board video does take up some memory. but it seems fine to me. The voltage is in the green so yea.
-
so what watt would you recamend me getting to run my pc and card?
-
dump
i really need info as im of the pcworld to get my stuff i need
-
Most Video cards want at lest minimum of 400watts Get 450, 500, or a 550 or higher if you want. other wise you should be Good with a 550.. Worst Case your Video Card wont Power on with a PSU under 400.

thx i got this one http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=45512 (http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=45512) now my pc runs full power
-
might take a look at one that is modular. makes it easier on the cable management
-
it has a 2 straps so you can manage them easyer
-
But only useing the cables you need looks nicer. That way you don't have a lot of extras bunched up
-
well i have used all the wires lol
