Title: Good place to buy switches
Post by: samuldacamul on December 28, 2008, 01:21:37 PM
Anybody know a good place to buy momentary tactile switches?  I was using radioshack switches before but they are to big and don't work very well.  The switches on ebay don't have a long enough buttons.  I tried digi-key, but I couldn't change the country from Canada when I tried to register.  Can anyone send me a site that has the kind of buttons that come in the kits?
Thanks!

These are from the official store, 4 for 2 bucks. I assume you're looking for them for the rapidfire and I think these are the exact switches.

Yeah those buttons are perfect for the rapidfire that's why we sell them  :boxed:

And ive never had a problem with switches from radioshack, maybe you aren't looking hard for the correct switches?
They do have alot of stuff there..

The Local Dollar Store.

Never, NEVER underestimate the dollar store.

Little random electronic toys aught to have a few. Various sizes too.

Couple bucks, a 5-10 min drive, and there you have it.

Lol

Walk into a dollar store as a 16 yo
Ask to buy 15 different/weird/random toys meant for 5 y/o
Get stared at funny while you walk out of the store

But yeah that might work if you're good at salvaging parts. I don't know though, I don't see many little dollar store toys with tact switches. Then again, I haven't looked at those toys since I was like 5...
