-
it needs to be formatted... more than likely when something was being saved an error occured and screwed up the card.

And if that doesn't work then its probably corrupt. I've had it happen to a few hard drives of mine

Try this maybe?

Just format it and follow what it says. How hard is that to do?

Well you learned your lesson. Do like most people do, load the pics onto your PC every week...
Im gonna guess that formatting is the only option.

Oh so, he learned his lesson?

i guess he did. ill "aquire" the recover tools posted here, if it doesnt work, i will just point and laugh at him as such :taunt:

I've had a similar issue, but I found that Linux occasionally will (for whatever reason) be able to make out whats on the card.
Burn a live CD of Ubuntu, and then see about getting the files from there.
If not, well, you have a backup CD to recover files if your OS Craps out.

you need to use a data recover tool - i did that when my hard drive got corrupted to the point of unmountable in normal circumstances and it kept saying format it so i ran the recovery tool and it got back 98% of my stuff. it did take 2 days though as it forensicly whent over it or whatever its called like 10 times recovering each bit it found each time
