Title: disc not spinning?

hey guys im trying to fix my little brothers ps2 slim, the model no. is .... SCPH-70003
 i now what parts i need but will this work in the ps2 slim i have?

the sensor in the disk drive could be messed up.

Dont think so, i have a perfect laser moves fine but motor wont spin the disk..

yeah thats what i thinks is wrong with my little brothers ps2 slim.

not sure but i know that if the eject / power ribbon cable on the big fat is not pluged in all the way it will not spin. you can still power it up and eject the disk, the disk just wont spin
