Title: Circuitry Setup?
Post by: pspupgrade on January 01, 2009, 01:13:28 AM
Hi, sorry about this question if it's too nooby, but I couldn't find things the answer on the search.

So, I'm about to do the sound-reactive LED mod along with the hold switch mod, but I'm not sure about the exact circuitry. In a parallel circuit wouldn't the switch not work because, unlike series circuits, they aren't interdependent? Or would I first wire in the hold switch and speakers in a series layout and then complete the rest in the parallel circuit layout?

Thanks in advance.

Wire them in parallel, the hold switch pin is your negative.

If you were to use the negative from your hold switch, and the positive from your speaker, the leds would not really be sound reactive
I would just use both positive and negative for the leds to be sound reactive
