so call me what you will, but I tried Rock Band for the first time this new years eve, and it was awesome! Now I got guitar hero when it first came out for PS2, but the whole drums and multiplayer thing was new to me. I heard that GH has drums and multiplayer but I want to know what you guys think about it.
So which is the one I should get? Please take DLC into consideration as that is why I am getting it for the 360.

well i got ghwt and i like it i whent for wt as apossed to rockband2 on reapers recomendation

I prefer World Tour a million times more than Rock Band 2, mostly because I find it's more fun to play (I hate the rock band notes) and the way the Rock Band career is set up forces you to play songs 10-15 times before you really progress anywhere (and a lot of these songs are way to easy/IMO crappy).

world tour all the way. its more fun, and I personally think the guitardrums,mic are better quality then rockband

thanks guys, I got GHWT and it is pretty sweet. I have to say the only thing that I liked better about Rock Band is the 2 fret locations on the guitar. Plus best buy made it easy for me as RockBand was sold out for the 360 and it didn't look like they were getting anymore......Long Live Guitar Hero!
Plus, GHWT is compatible with a boat load of GH games so it seems I made the right decision.

well ive beaten all the GH's and both the rockbands and personallly think GH is a better and more enjoyable time to play. just like reaper said. you need to play over 700 songs to beat the world tour in RB2 but only like a 100 to beat GHWT
the only advantage i say that rockband has is the better DLC

Anybody feel bad lags on gh wt drums? I can play hard-expert on rb1 drums but I start playing medium on gh wt and I fail >.>
