hey, i opened my wiimote today to add an led on the A and B buttons today and tey works , put the wiimote back-together and it was still working.. then i left it on my desk, went out and came back to find it in bits... i asked everyone in my family about it and noone admited it and now the remote doesnt work... when i press a button the 4 lights at the bottom dont flash. what could have caused this?? i can get pics if you need?
-
It shorted out, you'll need to bridge the fuse that's to the left-middle of the 1 and 2 buttons. Should be perfectly fine afterwards, but if it shorts again then I'm fairly sure you're screwed.
-
how do i bridge the fuse? and where abouts is it?

That's what I have bridged on my clear led modded wiimote.
Just solder a wire from one side to the other.
-
dude i bridged that fuse and only 1 led at the bottom of the controller is flashing is that normal? or is the remote :censored:?
EDIT: can i put hot glue over the fuse as my soldering is bad atm?

That's your battery level. The number of leds that light up depend on the batteries.
0-25% is 1 led, 26-50% is 2 leds, 51-75% is 3 leds, and 76-100% is 4 leds. Of course, it's an approximation.
Hot glue won't bridge it. Put new batteries in and test it out, I'm sure it will be fine. If not, hey at least you have a working controller again now.
-
no i ment could i put hot glue over the wires that are soldered to the fuse so it doesnt come unsoldered..if you get what i mean?

Yeah that's a good idea. I thought you meant to bridge it.
-
you could, but you shouldnt have used a very big piece of wire, so you really shouldnt have to worry about it, just remember if the fuse does come unbridged and you glued it, its going to be a :censored: to fix.

hey is it bad that only my first person led lights up anymore
-
If it's an unmodded controller and you've tried replacing the batteries, then yeah kinda.

i showed my little brother and he said to make him one soo when i get some red leds ill mod his and show ya
-
uh oh
They don't light up at ALL?
But, the controller works fine?
What I would do is just use it as a spare controller, or take the initiative and try replacing the leds and check for fried resistors around the leds.cheers kicks my wiimote is fixed now and i got 2 pics to show you guys my mod...
Cool glad I could help
