Title: Stencils- yes I have searched
Post by: Max_Kreeger on January 08, 2009, 12:23:27 AM
Hey guys,

Yes I have searched and it has answered some of my questions, but I want to know if anyone knows any places which make custom stencils in Western Australia ? If no, does anyone know a good way of making stencils ?

Its for the 360, just to let you know.

Thanks
Max

if it is for a one time use... i would suggest getting a decal cut in paint mask vinyl and just use it... it can get into pretty small details... if you want to use it multiple times, then go buy one of the plastic notebooks and print out your design or draw it onto a piece of paper and glue it to that, and cut around it... then on the other side you can buy a low tack spray on adhesive to hold it against what you are trying to paint so that it doesnt move on you

both of these methods make really good stecils with decent flexibility to go over curves and such... so i would say they would work pretty well on a 360

Do you think this type of stencil would work well on a ps3 with all the curves?

I just used like sticker stuff where I drew on the pic and cut it out and stuck it on the 360 then painted turned out great.

It was actually stuff that's used to cover books lol. It worked fine...so yeah lol. You could use painters tape or masking tape. (for small things)
