Im not quite sure what error i have or whats it related to.
Well here we go, i was adding a switch to my xbox 360 for the core cooler v2 so i can turn it on and off and i accidentally dropped the swith when it was on( the switch wasnt mounted on the back yet, i was testing it)
and all of a sudden my xbox shut off. Me freaking out i disconect the corecooler from the switch and try to turn the xbox and it doesnt even start up, it only blinks the Quadrent 1 red ring( as i know of).
Has this happend to you?
Can i fix this somehow? (Also i does not show any messages on screen) None of the fans turn on aswell as the dvd drive. Note that my 360 was also open.
Helpp ASAP ^_^

It's common sense to NOT have the system on when it's OPEN.
That is the #1 reason people break everything.
Just a tip.
-
i know that. i was only testing the new switch i installed and i dropped it. ( it hit the what seems to be the large heatsink)

I'm no 360 expert but I think you may have shorted out your PSU on the 360.
-
Fortunately i did not short out my psu or anything of the sort.
Found out after talking to my friend (he's and electrical engineer)
that i probably blew my fuse in my power supply luckily i did do that.
I also let it sit overnight and not as i would say :censored: with it.
Safe to say i have an extra power supply that fits and my 360 is back up in running.
I Have damn learned my lesson and will most likely take greater caution when working on it when
is open.
Here's a lesson to all DONT WORK ON YOUR 360 WHEN ITS OPENED UP AND EVEN ON!!!

LAst time I checked, modders have common sense.
And if it's a fuse, why don't you just replace the fuse...

I only work on my 360 when its open lol
but seriously
you NEVER work on anything when its on,I once soldered an led to a psp while it was on
and poof psp turns off
I test my 360 when its open i.e. sit it on top of my other 360 and plug it in and power it up

That's the only way you can work on something...
-
When I test mods on my 360 I allways have it open, you just gotta make sure nothing is touching something that it shouldnt be.
-
just be awesome like me and dont shake
i always have my PSP and DS on when im making new mods
you, however are one brave soul to do this with your 360.... o_o
:beg: <--- you after dropping the switch XD
:boxed: "omg, really?" <--- after consulting your friend
 <--- Victory!
ah... i confess... im not that awesome, my psp shut off once after shorting the backlight XP
but im happy to hear that, like me, your machine recovered just fine

Once when I was doing a PSP speaker mod (putting two mini speakers in the back) The negative wire was soldered on, but the positive wasn't. All I had to do was pick it up and solder it to the PSP's speakers. But amazingly I dropped it on the mobo, it short circuited with a number of things and BANG the speaker popped :P. No damage to the PSP...luckily
But I guess sometimes you need it on to see what your doing...
-
when u dropped the switch did have solder exposed such as the part where the wire are soldered to the switch where they showing and when u dropped it grounded it self and shorted it.

does the light on the Power brick light up? have you tried just unplugging it and reseting?
