im a little confused and im new here I was just wondering after they hack the psp 3000 with gripshift will we need it to run cfw because its a little late to buy it since its running for about 100 dollars. I seriously doubt that ill be able to find it at gamestop either. any help would be appreciated :yess:

if you live in a rural area, go to that gamestop.

i bet that we will need gripshift to install CFW, but im not sure

Right now the exploit works with only a specific version of Gripshift.

So you will need it.

Being able to play homebrew is at a standstill right now though.

The homebrew enabler isn't gonna be released for some time.

and right now, (2 days ago) i read that Miriam got the savegame with the exploit for the european version, and that FreePlay is working on the japanese one.

now ive got another question I upgraded to the newest firmware assuming the 3k is hacked does that mean im excluded and I'm screwed or does it not matter? :psp:

Edit: sony fixed the gripshoft exploit in the 5.04 (or was 5.03 the newest?)
just NEVER update your Sony Products..

it's okay then. I have 5.02 whew that was a close one you got me scared for a second. But I guess you got confused I made that post before the newest firmware came out

5.03 is the newest.
The exploit works from 4.20 to 5.02 and NOT on 5.03
Today i bought the german GripShift for 20€! cheap. on ebay theyre ~90€

ha  :fear: I couldn't  find it at my gamestop but oh well I won't worry about it until the psp 3k has been all the way hacked with gripshift

somebody found a weakness in the game and is using it to try and hack the psp 3k. So when everyone heard about it they started to sell it at a new psp games price or higher.

I recommend going to a pawn shop if you have 1 in your area.
There always cheap there.

I got 2 Gripshift UMD's for about $30

sorry man ur screwed, the gripshift exploit was patched with the latest firmware. I dunno if the 3000 will be hacked. Maybe sometime but it could take a long while coz afterall even the new 2000 psps couldn't be hacked with the new motherboard

I can wait it's not as if I'm dying for it to be hacked just that when it does I'll be plenty happy.  :psp: Oh and I didn't update I still have 5.02
