My thoughts on it and if I like it or NOT...


I think the new PSP3000 has a great new desighn.

The MIC is defenetly a +
The FACT that it CAN use ALL of the same accessories as the PSP2000 is great.

The screen is sure better and thats also a +

The abilety to use the PSP on any TV without CF and FUSA Plugin to play PSP GAMES is defenetly GREAT!

The smooth edges make for a good comfortable feel.
The indent in the midle of the action buttons is a good look and more comfortable to bash on the X, [_], /\, O buttons.

Overal it's Great!
But if you already own PSP 2K Getting PSP 3K is optional and only that.
I would not recoment shelling out $170 - $200 for a PSP 3K that's almost the same thing as the 2K.

If you own PSP1000 or don't have a PSP yet, I would defenetly go with the new PSP 3000 as it is close to being fully hacked.

Nice. I prefer the 2k over the 3k. But once the 3k gets hacked it will be better.

Next time, I hope they do some major upgrades on the PSP and get rid of those UMDs. The next generation PSP should be capable of doing what laptops do with a touchscreen keyboard for better web browsing, email, IM, perhaps for Word docs, built-in 80GB/160GB HDD, improved music player with more eye-candy (album art / coverflow), 802.11b/g/n, USB UMD reader that plugs into your computer to transfer games onto PSP memory (I hate disc media), music sync over iTunes / Windows Media Player / Rhapsody, built-in 5.0MP camera, dual-nubs, metallic feel, higher res. screen (800x420 WVGA), stereo bluetooth 2.1 with OBEX, and that's about all I can think of. I hope that the next PSP will at least incorporate one of these changes or else I'll probably never buy one.  :cool:

Agreed LOL

Why is everyone obsessed with like internet/wifi on GAMING systems?? And 160gb on a PSP is VERY unneeded. The most you really need it like 32 with a photofast. 160 would hold more than every game ever made.... And its pointless to have all those games you would never use em..

Also nice review Electro, I MIGHT get one if it gets CFW but it would still be rare if i do  :psp:

agreed the only thing i really want on a psp is dual nub that woul be the best but i highly doubt it

exactly the better the system the more we can think of to add but it can't be perfect cuz then we would have nothing to add but leds and lil things like that

also did u guys read the AM's news wit sony coming out wit the 2Tb mem. cards for psp

I am currently revising my thoughts of 3000 sucks.
I kinda like it now. (If it will become fully hackable)
The only part about upgrading is that I already have two slims so I don't exactly know why I would need a 3000

I don't recommend a PSP 3K if you already have a PSP 2K.
Just like I mentioned in my review.

I got this about 3 weeks ago now and I used it like 4 times.. :/

Don't get me wrong it's great but with NO Custom Firmware at the moment..
For me it's just another PSP that is taking up room in my custom shelf. :D

Hopefully the new HEN Loader or the Eloader is out soon.
Then I will be using my 3K for all my emulation needs. :D
