You need to pandorize it. I've not really heard of bricking a psp from dropping it, but PSAR refers to a part of the firmware. Re-imaging it from a pand and MMS should fix it. Just dont dump or restore nand or anything.

Maybe it shorted and corrupted the firmware somehow ?

That shouldn't be possible..... but it is happening anyway.... I wonder if there is something he is not telling us.... like... by "drop" maybe he means "attempt at firmware modding went horribly wrong". And by "fix" maybe he means "repair my embarrassing mess up so that my friend thinks im teh pwnage".

Well get this. I was going to flash a PSP for a friend. I put in the magic mem stick and Pandora.....all the lights turn on but thats it like the pandora doesn't work...So I try on my PSP works fine...I'm like WTF. Then I try few more things like using a normal battery and running it of the charger, nothing worked...it was basically a hardware brick. When I opened it up the ribbon for the menu buttons bar thing (start, volume, select etc...) was unplugged....I plug it back in and it worked fine...but then I screwed it up coz I put the wrong screw in the wrong hole and it went to far and cracked the screen. lol. So yeah maybe something inside unplugged itself...or a component got damaged...First try re-flash it. If it still doesn't work open it up.

True. My sound wouldnt work until i plugged my home bar back in once. It is entirely possible that something is just slightly unplugged.

Ya maybe something is hanging out and making it freeze while booting and the PSP isnt sure whats wrong. Maybe open it and make sure everything looks right
