Title: questions about hacking a slim

ok so i havent been in the psp scene for a little while and my psp phat broke so i need a new psp. i know that the psp 2000 can be hacked (well everyone under a g) but is it like hacking the old psp 1000. i mean like the pandora battery style since i will want to dump my umd's and load them on my memory card. just wanted to know b4 i purchase a new psp thanks
