Title: Problem with Backight fuse bridging
Post by: Mr. Corpsey on January 31, 2009, 05:56:33 PM
My backlight was broken when I started modding my psp a little while ago. And I did the USB mod and some LEDs but I can't get the backlight fuse bridging to work. I bridge it and the PSP just shuts off. I tried it with ust a wire and a small blob of solder.

If any one can help that'd be real cool. Thanks

EDIT: there is definitely no continuity through the fuse. And I'm on a TA-079 if you were wondering.

Did you insulate it? It may be shorting on the LCD cage.

Try redoing it with a wire connecting each side. And don't use to much solder.

I just did and it still ins't working. is there any other fuses that could be blown. My bro just told me that he was moving it and he touched the mobo and he saw a little spark. I'm guessing this blew the fuse. but everything else still works, the LCD wasn't plugged in. The PSP and Screen still turn on and work.

Your backlight itself may just be broken. Do you have another psp to test it in? If so, I suggest you do that. If it works in another, it should work in yours unless there is somthing wrong on the mobo as you suspected.
