Title: Rapid fire controller, I need HELP!
Post by: Xx cole xX on February 01, 2009, 08:17:00 AM
Ok, So I bought all the stuff I need for a rapid fire controller mod, Just not the chip, because I don't need it, I bought wire, and solder, and solder iron,  push button, Etc.. When I put the 2 wires on the Momentart push button, and connect 1 wire to the middle peg on the right side of the controller, and connect the other wire to the D21 hole, It just keeps rapid fireing without me pushing the button.. as soon as I connect the wires, it fires rapid, and I don't even push the button, Can anyone help me? Is it the wire I'm useing? I'm useing Radio wire, 24 guage. I'm not sure what it is.. So that's why I need help,

put a button inbetween the circuit that makes u shoot :)
or maybe your button is nubbed out test it on somthing else, its possible that its making constant contact from either being old/used or new and made improperly

I don't think it's that.. I just bought them, and I tryed 3 diffrent ones out of the box, Could it possibly be that I don't have the right buttons? I have the Momentary push buttons.

the buttons must be a "momentary push button"

when the center pin is bridged to the top pin it causes the results you speak of. once the hot connection is made. check the trigger soldering.

when the center and bottom pins are bridged, it will cause it to auto fire also, but the whole screen will shake.

post a pic

This question should help:

How many legs does your pushbutton have? 2 or 4?

Also, does pushing the button stop the rapidfire, or does it not matter?
