Title: Tip of soldering iron not hot

Hello.the tip of my soldering iron isn't that hot. It is hotter on the sides that lead up to the tip than the actual tip. What can I do to make it hotter. I have the same one that's from the shop.

your tip may be bad or the iron could have gone bad

try and get a file and start filing the tip a little
