okay, so I got my friend's mobo (cuz I messed mine up pretty badly) and got it unbricked via pandora. Now, here's the strange thing: when ever the headphones are plugged in, the speakers work. However, when they're not in, the speakers don't emit any sound. I disassembled my psp and put it back together twice now. Should I try reflashing the firmware or is it hardware related?

posible for you to take some pics of the wifi board? Its probable it will be a problem there, since headphone jack and sound is on that board.

lol i know what the problem is!!! its the wifi board. basically its the wrong kind of wifi board for the mobo. take a pic of the mobo and i'll be happy to point you in the right direction

Lol, I have to disassemble my PSP again?
I can describe the wifi board as it's different from my friend's PSP-1000 wifi board (which was broken, btw). At the end of the long wire/antenna of my wifi board, it's a greenish board rather than a brown/tanish board. Also, unlike his, there's no blue triangle looking think sticking out on the backside of the memory stick reader.

right there r only two i think. all u hav 2 do is swap the one that doesn't work with the other one

Did the wi-fi board come from a different model?
