Title: My punisher pc case mod.
Post by: GhoSt on February 06, 2009, 11:26:49 PM: Started this mod yesterday and finished it now. I made sure to get pics of most of the build. Dont ask for specs as its crap atm and Im gona upgrade it at a later stage. I got this cruddy pc for free a while back and this is what it looked like. Yep epic fail.

so started teh mod... I really wanted to get a rugged black matte finish.

cut the windows out with a jigsaw.

primed and undercoated the lot.

Placed on my homemade punisher stencil.

sprayed on a black coat.

and bam the diy stencil works yayz!!!

installed the windows with bolts poped the beast back together and done... for now, need my cold cathodes to arrive.

Post by: Reaper on February 06, 2009, 11:41:28 PM: It's not an exact stencil (lines are blurred a bit), which IMO looks really good for the design. Excellent work. You gonna clear coat it or leaving it rough?

oh btw the stencil isn't that bad that photo is blured check the one above for auctual.

on the other notice i would like to say it looks allright and your simplistic attempt amazes me, i would porbabilly mess things up because i am a complicator, altho i made many a mod but my first one... well... lets just say the PC was nicknamed "white trash".... the other mods were good tho and the pc quickly got renamed.... i dont remember all the evolutions of the nick, but before i sold it, it was nicknamed the lighthouse, which is ofcourse irrelevant to the topic completely.... What i wanted to say was, this is excelent for a first mod and go slow on the evolution of complexity of your mods, or things might get... well... expensive :)

I love the "stencil" tho... and ye, get some rubberbanding action into your pc while youre there, the cables are a mess.... + add some more lighting for a dynamic look... i've found that one cathode works less good than two.... or four... <- four is an absolute extreme... makes eyes hurt on lan parties.... oh, and as far as i can see, you still can get up to 3 fans into the case, one being a new one on the processor, and make them the ones form sunbeam the red ones, verry pretty looking... and shiny too... and inexpensive more or less...
