Title: [solved] No backlight since modding

Hey guys i have a little problem since i modded my psp, because i broke the black plastic off now i wiped the contacts and plugged it in(picture below) but there's still no backlight... the display works, because i see the colors when i hold a light on it.. please help!

Maybe you blew out the Backlight Fuse?

      Was the psp on when you connected the ribbon to the broken clip? If it is the fuse, which can be a possibility, is was caused by accidentally touching another contact point, shorting out, while power was on. If is not the fuse, then you need to make sure that the ribbon cable is perfectly touching the mobo contact points. Try putting a piece of electrical tape, keeping the ribbon cable in position.

hmm maybe that's the reason but i was really careful not to touch an other contact on the mobo and i think it didn't so yes the psp was on...

P.S.:  when i tested that backlight yesterday (plugged the ribbon in, started psp) there was at first no backlight but i've listened to music for a while and one moment suddenly flashed on and off and stayed then off..

Well then it sounds like your ribbon is not making contact with your connector on the mobo. Press the pins down so that they are tight against the ribbon and then try it.

Also try to find your black tab that fell off, you can still put it on, i did it and it went back on as good as new :)

ok i tried this and nothing changed.. i think i have to face the truth that the fuse is however broken... any good german sites to buy a new?
