I wanted to get some multi-colored LEDs for my slim, (project) but I couldn't find any Bi-color 0603 SMT LEDs, these are the only ones I could find: http://www.unique-leds.com/index.php?target=products&product_id=1846
is there anywhere I could put these in a slim? speaker holes? UMD door? otherwise I will have to get 2 different SMT LED colors and jam 2 dead switches in there (I was planning on direct contact so I need a dead switch) so then I would still be using the dead switch here, middle pin, ground, then the L and R (+ and -) for the switch. But these are not SMT are these no use then? I think it would be neat to have 1 way green and 1 way yellow. :help:

would this work for you http://parts.digikey.com/1/parts/681256-led-yellow-green-bi-color-smd-aypg1211f-tr.html bicolor smd;s yellow and green like in ur link but smaller

Thanks, I saw that but I don't know if that site is ok to buy from and they are kind of expensive.

They are fine to buy from.

it's not that much it's only $9.67 for 25 plus shipping not much more than ordering 25 603's
-
What would you go with? the bi-colors are more expensive and might be harder to install I can't seem to figure out where all the contacts actually are.
I found other ones that look more like 0603's

I see 4 gold contact points, I assume + and - for each side? but shouldn't there be only 3? ground then + and -?
-
elite, - and ground are the same... well no, but you wire a negative to ground so in this case its the same. but there are normally 3, a common -, or common +, and then 2 - orr 2 + for each led. depends on the led and maker.
edit: but i have seen 4 contact leds and i assume that means there are 2 separate leads for each led.

So then I guess there really is no point to buying bi-color? it's basically just 2 0603's jammed into 1 SMD casing. I was only going to buy cause what I said in OP. Switch from green to yellow.
-
yea its basically like that. 2 leds stuffed into 1 casing. tbh its nit worth buying them and theyre too much trouble. just buy 25 green and 25 yellow leds and wire them up separately.

Yeah, the OP link though, I could do it with those. Too bad they are too big.
