yeah I went to the old thread, but the pics were very blurry and directs very vague. :sadno:
Well I read some of the posts and tried to put it together, so is it really this simple? I wire the + from the Mic to the + on the sound board and the - from the speaker to the - on the sound board?

Mic- Use for skype, online games or w/e.
I haven't gotten around to putting it internal b/c I am having trouble getting to the + and - pins on the audio jack board

has anyone figured out a way to trick the psp into thinking it has detected the remote yet? seems this mod would be alot more useful if that can be done

I have spent a bunch of time on this one... your best bet is to get the chotoshot or the talkman and install that inside the PSP... Looks like the PSP uses some prx to talk to the remote before it will talk to the Mic.

I must have gotten lucky with mine then. My "Portable mic" works perfectly with socom ftb2.

So it won't work with FTB2?
Also to RoBot, what plug is that and where did you get it and where does it plug into to the PSP?

ok i just did an internal mic on my slim, works on socom, work with audio mechanica, presumably any game online or off, just doesnt work with skype.
i do not use the locoroco plugin and mic worksfine
i just wired mic to pins on the back of the mic socket, next to the headphone jack
even did it ghetto style,bent up all the pins that are in the way of the 2 pins you need(pried the pins off the board, and up outta the way) then i twisted my mic wires tight and stuck 'em thru the holes the correct corresponding pins go thru in the socket.then i balled up the ends of the wires so they couldnt pull back thru the holes,and pulled them back tight and used those bent-up pins above my wired pins to further hold my wires in place. i then broke off all the other bent-up pins, as i dont plan on ever hooking my psp up to a tv or anything that requires those pins to be hooked up. its ghetto, but all i wanted really was a socom mic, its internal,invisible, and the sound quality is f***ing perfect.

if O is your headphone jack, then hook your mic wires to a and c
the hardest part of this mod is disassembling your psp and maybe hiding the wires
