Title: installing linux...

my linux disk finally came today :D and i have had some troubles installing it :angry: 

when i put it in it boots up properly (going to the try linux, install ect) but when i try to install it it freezes on the background screen... is this normal and i should wait longer? i am so lost... i also read on the case that it will wipe my hdd of EVERYTHING if i am not careful O_O how do i prevent this?

btw my distro is ubuntu (of course ^_^)

try installing it through windows, then run wubi. it will auto partition your diskm or llet you choose with to install to. then install it there.

thats how i installed it on mine

did your format where you want to place ubuntu? you need to
sometimes it freezes, just shut off the instlallationa nd try again.
happend to me twice

no witht he setup you should be able to do it.
maybe ask for help on the official ubuntu forum
