Title: How to find out which pin is + and which is - ?

I have some stuff that well anyway I have a mic well 2 mics that I don't know which pin/wire is + and which is - how could I find out? or doesn't it matter?

black is usually -, red, yellow are usually +. or just try different configurations till it works. thats what i did. only 1 360 blew up on me  :huh:
