Title: PSP LCD Problem (Update)
Post by: Zay22446688 on March 13, 2009, 10:47:16 PM
I did a case swap on my psp and durring the case swap something went wrong and my backlight fuse went out so I bridged that and now it is working, but the problem now is that the lcd display only show random colors of horizontal lines giving no representation of what the psp xmb normally looks like. The sound still works and I can navagate, but there is a problem either with the connection or another fuse. The screen is 100% working and ive tested different lcds on my psp with the same result, please help. And if I have to should I buy a new mobo or used psp and which one is cheaper.

Check My latest post.

not necessarily, you could prolly find one without an lcd for cheaper, and then just swap in yours.

All the wifi boards may plug into all motherboards, but they won't all work. It needs to match the motherboard for it to operate correctly.

Ive taken this picture to show you what my psp looks like.
(https://acidmods.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi697.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fvv337%2FZay22446688%2Fe8e5a86f.jpg&hash=515cef24221d28e40c993c4ce37c5eba83efedc5)
(sorry about the bad quailty I had to take it with my photoscanner)
As you can see My psp has some wierd display with lines, but sound works aswell as all other functions.
I bridged the backlight fuse and I am wondering if this could be the problem.

Any help would be much appreciated...

I though it was the backlight tab that i broke, but I can slide the connector into a slot for the tab that I broke and the backlight still works. Its just that the display is all messed up.

Well, it's obviously your mobo then. Buy one that corresponds to your daughterboard, and slap it in.
