Title: need a little diagnostic help

so my friends psp got dropped and now with the battery in it will not turn on but when he plugs it in with the charger itll turn on with no problem whatsoever.
any ideas?

Im guessing the connection from the battery teeth on the motherboard somehow got disconnected from the motherboard itself and therefor doesn't work. You would need to open the psp and make sure though. In that case you could try and re solder it or you need to buy a new mobo :cry2:
to bad...should of worn the wrist strap lol. lesson learn i always say!

Did any of the pins on the mobo that connect to the battery (the three gold pins) get bent at all?

looking at the psp there is NO physical damage that i can see anywhere, nothing cracked, bent, or broken. when it was dropped the battery cover and battery popped out/off but that happened to mine multiple times.
