Ok, I have been going through a lot of peoples posts, and I am still not getting anywhere. I would like to know, from those of you who have done it preferably, what you used and where you got it.
I am talking of course about the speakers some of you have used in your UMD doors. Not the single HUGE speakers, that practically REPLACE the UMD door, but the smaller ones, that are about a quarter the size of the door, so you can fit 4 in at the same time if you want.
How did you make them amplified?
What were the specs of the speakers? (rating and type of speaker)
Where did you get them or would someone find them?
Does anyone have a generic diagram of how they had it wired?
I will of course be modifying the installation a bit, but I need to start with something that works right.
Also, what do you guys think would be the best way to filter out specific frequencies? In otherwords, make the extra speakers, filter the higher frequencies, and allow only the lower through, to get that BASS!

really the best way to get more sound out of your PSP and an overall easy/cleaner way to do it...is to just buy one of those cards that have the speaker in them, take it out and install it. Not sure how to do that but it shouldn't be to hard....just poss and neg wired to the mobo prob. But yes from what I have hear, that gives you the most sound and is also easy, clean and safe. But thats just my opinion lol.

what do you mean card with the speaker in it ? show an example ? :]
-
I was about to ask that as well. lol I have seen a couple PSPs with some very thin speakers in them, but not sure where they got them from. Cant remember whos PSP it was, or I would send them a PM and ask them.

They mean those greetings cards where you open it and it plays a tune:

These are the modules that they use. May be a bit too big for what you're looking for, but this kind of thing definitely is what you need.

Thats not a bad idea. Those cards are pretty cheap, so I will have to go buy a couple and rip them apart and see what I can make out of them. Thanks pspupgrade.

OHH DENGG YEAHH THANKS :]

Also, if you wanted it even cheaper, a while ago I bought one of those toy weapons for little kids in the pound store that makes sounds when you pull the trigger. The sound annoyed me so I opened it up and found a nicely sized little speaker in there, and the whole thing was a lot cheaper than those sound greeting cards.

Yeah, our dollar stores around here have LOTs of those annoying :censored:ing toys all over the place. Thats a lot of speakers for me. lol
