-

-
jailbreak it! :D
-
kinda like the security of teh warranty... what are the merits of jailbreaking? (good homebrew apps that i cant get on my DS and the like ^_^)
-
yeah, homebrew, customization, etc. Oh and the right to brag about being a "1337 h4x0r" to all your friends and impress them with your crazy skillz XD
-
i already do it wit the R4 XD i mean more than that... customization is nice but the warranty is much more nice (or nicer XD)
-
Jailbreak it yes it voids the warranty but that is if they find that it has been jailbreak but they cant if you do a restore can they? Ive had the Iphone 2g 8gb Iphone 2g 16 Gb Iphone 3g 16Gb all jailbroken never even had to use the warranty(Am I lucky or what)
-
Still... What if I can't restore?
-
i want one :yess:
-
No matter what you can restore and upgrade.
It's called DFU mode, Device Firmware Upgrade(Or update?) mode. Through this you're able to upgrade and downgrade at will.
They can't detect a jailbreak if you restore.
-
Ok ^_^ I will try it later.
-
Ok... Problem occured installing hardware... WTF do I do now?

-

-

-
yicks is a slow computer with not many good specs.
dnt you have a wall charger for it.
-
Nope
-
try uninstalling itunes then reinstall
if it still doesnt work then go to device manager and disable the apple drivers then reenable
-
I think it may be from forgetting to eject it when I disconnected
Last time...
-
what are we suppose to lol ive had alot of apple products but never ejected any of them :eyebrow:
-
oh... then idk WTF the problem is... im hoping that is it
-
maybe you should try a different computer sometimes its just because computer is mad and it doesnt want to connect it for you
-
Well I only have a Linux (and it's not a good one xD) but atm it works...
-
I dont like linux I know its almost impossible to get a virus but almost none of the major software companies make software for it
-
yeah... it was a free comp and i like linux... i just cant do it on this comp for whatever reason...
-
thats probably y its notget on a computer that has windows..
-
no i am on windows right now... it seems to be that i did not eject it...
-
hey anyone know the best and easiest program to use to jailbreak a 2g touch ?
-
i didnt know that was possible... though i may be just behind the times...
-
hey anyone know the best and easiest program to use to jailbreak a 2g touch ?
there is only one atm.
-
And that program is
-
Oh. My. God.
First off, get the 24kpwn program to jailbreak the iTouch. I did mine a different way but that seems to be the way to go.
Kilokk, uninstall iTunes COMPLETELY, uninstall the driver, delete any extra files, restart, reinstall. You'll be fine.
To jailbreak it (I'm assuming you're on a first gen since you didn't know about the second gen jailbreak) you're going to need to go download the latest QuickPwn version. Get the firmware file you want to install/jailbreak also.
Plug your iTouch into the computer and start QuickPwn. It will close down iTunes and give you instructions. The instructions are very basic to follow. Just do what it says and you'll be good.
There. You're done.
-
haha lol I never knew you never even used the program to jailbreak it :nono:
-
I patched patched and applied everything manually. I don't trust beta programs.
I think the program is called QuickFreedom if I remember correctly.
-
yeah quickfreedom is the one mostly used
-
No I have a 2nd gen... But it's not a big deal ATM...
Thanks kicks :) it's working atm... It seems the problem is that I disconnected without ejecting by mistake
-
quickfreedom is for the second gen but gratz on making it work
app from cydia that is a must
winterboard a must have for themes
-
thanks ^_^
-
No, Kilokk, the iTouches do not need to be ejected before being disconnected. These and the iPhones are the only iPods that do NOT need to be ejected.
-
hmm... ever since i started ejecting its been workin fine >.> but i will take your word for it as it seems that you are the resident iPod expert.
-
I don't consider myself an expert. I just know a lot. xD
If it's working better for you that way, then just keep doing that. All I'm saying is the iTouch doesn't need to be ejected (unless, of course, it's syncing).
-
well i know who to call if i have trouble XD
