I was going to mod my ipod nano to put an internal speaker in it. I see enough room but I took apart a earbud and got the speaker out of it. What type of chip would I need to amplify the signal so it can actually even be heard??
-
hmmmmmmm..... to AMPLIFY the sound, i guess you would need an AMPLIFER.
-
there is no way you can get an earbud too produce loudspeaker level sounds. All amplifier chips will cause distortion and amplification at the levels ur talking about will just produce noise but no clear audio.... You'll be better off trying to find a tiny cellphone speaker which fits
-
^^^^ that also. the best would be like, the speaker from the birthday etc cards that talk from like cvs or walmart etc
-
No, those would be stupid to use. He's putting it in an iPOD NANO.
And, dhruvrock, either way you'll need an amp because it will only go as loud as the iPod sound level. As in, it will only go as loud as headphones either way unless you amplify it. I've tried.
-
i know you'll have to amp it but try it on headphones and see what you'll get. I've tried it and trust me , you won't want that trashy sound from ur ipod. His best bet would be speakers from a cellphone... Maybe the motorola razor phones, those are slim so would have tiny speakers :)

...The cable cannot be part of the case.... It is more than likely attached -.-

It's just attached, it's not part of the case. I've got my own 2g nano.
