Title: Quick charger jack question? :D

Just a quick little question about the charger jack, what are the two exposed copper contacts(the rectangular one right below the circular jack) And what is it for?

I need to know If I can sand it off so I can relocate my jack, but I'm not sure if it's an essential part of the jack...??

Can anyone explain it to me please?

They are just - and + contacts. They allow the psp to be used with some of it's accessories such as a charger stand. It's just so that on the stand, nothing has to be inserted into the psp. The slim and the 3000 don't have those so i'd say it should be fine without them. I don't know how they are attached inside the yellow thing though so you may not want to go wacking them off.
