i got a Radioshack iron from the AM store a while back, but the tip started getting really F'ed up, so I decided "Okay I'll just buy a new tip"... While trying to remove the screw holding it in, I think I broke it, so now I can't swap my tip and the top part of my iron is loose. So, I'm gonna buy a new iron. Problem is, I live in Canada, and we don't have any Radioshacks here. Closest thing is The Source, and they don't have a 15w iron. They only have a 15w/30w dual wattage iron. Think that'll work? I saw it returned to a store once, so I'm not sure if it's good, and I dunno if there's much of a difference with dual wattage irons.

I've been thinking about getting a good iron like Weller, so maybe this is a sign that I should get one. Any suggestions? I don't think they really sell them in stores do they? Idk, I'm in Canada too so the chances are even slimmer...
Thanks,
Bustin

I have a 15/30w iron and I've been using it like the past 6 months or so.

Alright thanks :)
My dad offered to buy me a Weller, so yeah. He's like "well, if you're serious, you should get a Weller". And when he offers something like that, he usually doesn't make me pay for it. Idk I shall see.
