ok this is going to sound confusing but bear with me. I have 2 xboxs, both dvd drives dont work correctly, 1 doesnt work whatso ever, but the other has shown me that it still has activity in it(lets call this drive "w"). I started to do lil test with it to get it to work. when its pluged in normally, it gets E65.However when the white/black cord is only pluged in, I get the normal xbox screen, and It Can Open And Close! but after i click close, it will open again. i also notice the middle light keeps flash

the xbox middle light flashs and never stops even when i unplug "w"drive and rebooted the xbox. what got confusing was i pluged the other xboxs dvd drive in(not "w"), restarted it and the flashing stoped! but contiuned after i unpluged the dvd drive. My semi fix dvd drive (aka "w") is a toshiba samsung (and yes im using it 4 the correct xbox) And the broken one which stop the flashing is a Hitachi
