Ok so im going to wire a total of 8 sound reactive led's to my speaker but im going to use a resistor as well what ohm resistor should I use, and where can i get one?

Probably should post this in the PSP section as you will find more people that are familiar with this mod as i dont even know if resistors are nessecary.(most of the time they are)

Read my first reply in this post (https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=30321.0)
That will tell you how do determine the resistor you need

If you want you can use the calculator for a single LED:
http://led.linear1.org/1led.wiz (http://led.linear1.org/1led.wiz)

Chances are you will want to use 100-330ohm resistor depending on the color.

Use a Led Driver, theyre like highly tuned resistors just for leds that give maximum brightness, lifetime etc and work for multiple leds
You can find some here http://mouser.com/Search/Refine.aspx?Keyword=led+driver, (http://mouser.com/Search/Refine.aspx?Keyword=led+driver,)
i belive they are color specific but im not sure

Figure out if they are wired in series or parallel, then just plug the info about the voltage, mA, ect into the resistor calc.
Anytime someone asks me about where to find electronics, I say try RadioShack first, then if it is nowhere to be found in local stores, try some place like digikey.com.  They have everything.
