Title: Help! Melted my Psp usb connector

I tried the usb charge mod on my phat Psp an ended up melting the 5 prongs on the usb connector together! Is there anything i can do or am i totally screwed?

well u can try desoldering it with one of those desoldering thingys

not helpful(no offence, but its useless to him unless he knows what you are talking about)

I recommend either using a desoldering braid (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062744), or a desoldering vacuum (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062745)

Thanx alot guys.  Can any of u explain how to use a desoldering vacuum or braid?

idk how to use a braid but for a desoldering vacuum, just heat the solder til it melts and press the button on the vacuum and it sucks the solder up. it might take several tries to get all of it
