Anybody got a tutorial for removing and then putting back the sync button on the controller?
-
No but there's probably the solder points somewhere... maybe. Just curious, why would you want to do that anyways?
-
I havent seen one. Looking at the sync button it looks difficult. Why would you want to remove and replace? If you don't mind me asking........

I don't mean the ACTUAL sync button. I mean the little thing that presses it. Like the thing in the trim at the top. I wanna remove it so that when I paint my controller, it doesn't stick and get screwed up.

I think if you do get that off, it wont go back on?? I painted one hot pink for my wife this weekend, no problems with it sticking, everything worked out fine.
-
Yeah I've painted about 5 controllers and you don't need to remove that. You'd have to glue it back on if you did happen to take it off.
-
Alright thanks guys =D
Just wanted to make sure. So no paint got between the button and screwed it up? That's good to hear.
-
just paint away. I did not have any problems, I checked it for you last night and it was fine.
-
Thanks again :)

If you don't want to paint it, what you want to do is push the button out. And while it's pushed back tape a piece of painters tape and cover it up, then let go of the button.
Let me know if you need any more help, or have any questions.

I poped my out but had to but some super glue to hold it down some.

xboxlax, yes, if you dont want to paint just the small button, push it in and tape it from the inside of the bumper assembly, I dont suggest breaking it off, just push it in, wedge a tooth pick in there to hold it in during painting
