the e7e error is now covered under the 3 year waranty. and this, unlike the RROD is "unrepairable" according to a microsoft press release. MS states that it is worse than the RROD!!!

if it is not opened, send it to microsoft, if the waranty is void, you can try the xclamp. but it wont last and may not even work.

sorry about your luck.

I am sorry dude. I was wrong I did a search to look back, its the E74 that is now covered.

you have E73 which is
E73: General Hardware Error: Ethernet port... this error is caused by a problem with the Ethernet port.

I dont know anything about it, but the xclamp wont help.

I did a little looking around for you, and saw that the only people that were able to fix it, either used a heat gun around the ethernet port area to try to reflow the solder joints, or were able to see some serious warping of the motherboard in that region and alievieated it with spacers against the frame.

Either way £68 is too much for a repair, better off selling it as is, cuz you never know what kind of junk M$ will send as a replacement.

I wouldnt recomemnd opening it, as this is one of those things that may or may not be able to be fixed, so unless you are well skilled at 360 repairs probably would be best to cut your losses while you can.

I may attempt an repair, my dads a vehicle electrician, so he knows what he is looking at. :L

But yer.. it would probably be worth selling it, then buying a semi-new one.. :/
