If you want on/off/on meaning: (SOLID)(OFF)(SOUND REACTIVE). I highly recommend mouser, one of the BEST places ever to find stuff like this. You're going to be looking for this put into switch terms, SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) the middle pin being common.

You mean what I said? (solid)(off)(sound reactive) or just a single throw, being (solid)(sound reactive) then another separate 3 pin for on/off.

Here is the list of all switches at mouser, apply your filter accordingly. Switch terms:\

SP - Single Pole
DP - Double Pole
ST - Single Throw (2 positions)
DT - Double Throw (3 positions)
TT or 3T - Tripple Throw (4 positions)
3P - Three Pole

and so on, do you follow?
Here's your the list of all switches, like I said apply your filters accordingly.

You really only need to mess with the "Contact Form" and "Switch Function"

... thats what i ment
But i dont wanna do it anymore
I wanna do sound reactive and switch turns it off.
Ok, Well, I'm just about finished doing that with a dip switch in the trimand let me tell you this: IT IS NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED!!

Seriously, it is a major pain in the A$$ to do, and if you don't have alot of experience with a dremel, you're screwed for it...

Another option, though, would be to put it in the umd drive, which isn't as classy, but it still works.

how bout one of these on/off switches?

or this one, but not so long
(https://acidmods.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.allelectronics.com%2Fmas_assets%2Fimage_cache%2Falign.center_height.250_vspace.5_width.150_modified.1237373195.2738.MPB-218.jpg&hash=82c5067cd7f519a4e0d7df9184857b21b0290808)

would there be enough space to install under the trim so all you would have to do is drill a hole in the trim so that the button can come through?

I have been thinking about doing a switch also, but haven't gotten a chance to do it yet.  (waiting on a razor kit)

One problem, most of those type of switches are only Momentary, meaning they only make contact when you hold them down.

That's a bit big, check the data sheet for the specs. Your looking for a ON-NONE-ON or ON-OFF-ON. The one you picked is a ON-ON-ON, unless that's what you wanted.

Hm.. double pole.. I dont not have I ever owned a phat so I don't know it too well at all but somewhat knowing how it works I don't think there's any room to fit any sort of switch in there, even some micro small switch I don't think would fit without having to remove the drive.

oh yeah that's right.  Don't know what I was thinking.
How bout this then?
(https://acidmods.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.allelectronics.com%2Fmas_assets%2Fimage_cache%2Falign.center_height.250_vspace.5_width.150_modified.1237373195.3918.SSW-46.jpg&hash=e5b98cea431b49b32a92fc768daee6e53699bf3e)
It's pretty small and I've used similar switches on other projects.  It should still fit in the trim and definitely under the spaces in the UMD area.
