Right, I have a 360 I got off this guy, but it got Rrod in the post :/. Anyways it came without a HDD..

I was just wandering after i get it repaired, could i use my 4gb USB memory stick as a 'Memory Card' , So download my gamertag to that.. ? Will this work..?

You could, but it would involve a lot of modifying I would imagine!  Yay for the X Clamps!!!!!!  xD

I dont believe so, it might be possible but i havent heard anyone doing it before. the easiest thing would to just buy a memory card those are fairly cheap and can get them nearly anywhere that sells xbox related items.

Well MS are going to repair it for free.. So.. :D

But i was thinking, i just plug it in to the USB port And Off i go..?

Or is it not that easy..?

The xbox obviously doesn't read from the usb port for that. They have memory card slots instead. Buy a memory card.

yeah you can't use it for a memory card but you can put music and that on them and plug them in and use it to play that off there while in game i do it all the time after i repair someones 360 to test it LOL play a game and run music in background make it multitask LOL

it can be done. but not practical, you must get the security chip off the memorycard and embed it in the flash drive. like I said its not practical, but doable.

Works up to 16GB on SD cards.  Also a good thing to have for hex editing :winker:

nice find, very interesting.

as for hex editing. have you done this? I can do it with the hdd in the 3rd partition, everything is spelled out. but with the memory card everything is so compressed, its just a bunch of giberish.

nope, havnt done any hex editing of any sort.  But from the brief discussions I have seen on here, i was under the impression that memory cards and HDDs used a similar format. For some reason I thought that people were using memory cards cuz they are easier to deal with. :dntknw: guess not, and I guess it wouldnt matter now that hex edits are mostly being patched.

would be good for gamerscore trolls, if M$ hasnt scared them from doing that. :laughing:
