Title: ...some questions.
Post by: Rokujou on May 31, 2009, 04:52:51 AM
since im dumb, lazy and don`t seem to find anything reasonable from here, i thought that it might be easier to ask you straightly...
what would i need to do to get another analog stick for my beloved fat psp?
i`ve read about some razor and a2d, and something, but what exactly would i need for it?
...and yes, i know this most likely isn`t the right forum to ask this.

actually this is the right forum :-)

Well for start you need a razor x , then you need some really good soldering skills because you gotta solder to really small points.

If you are still interested , i'll point you to the tutorials section else you can ask someone to do it for you. For that , you can go see the Modders for Hire section.

btw... is it anyway possible to make a working board on your own?
somehow, i don`t like the idea of buying Razor from somewhere so far away...

ya i believe there is a way, i dunno how though.... search the forums, someone asked the same thing some time back. i believe it has something to do with a laser printer and a silicon sheet but i dunno. try searching to see  if u come up with it....

okay, so now i know how to make the razor, but i have even more questions coming...
for example... i thought that i might want to buy a replacement powerboard for my psp, since i`ll most likely destroy the first one... but now i searched dealextreme, and found only this "Replacement Power Switch Circuit Board for PSP SW-445" so... what does that sw-445 mean?

razor has much better feel but the sony ericcson is a much easier install.  I tried making at least 10 razors and they never felt right after I soldered the contacts.  I did the ericcson install in no time and it works just fine.  Best of all I left the DC in plug in its place.
