fits the 775, and it dosent cost to much.

and yeah its almost / just barely touching my ram cooler. i should state that even thow it looks better than the stock AMD cooler and performs only slightly better. im happy with it over all

wats your temp right now?

mines is 52-55 celcius. i was wondering if i can swap the fan to my antec tri-cool one. 80mm(if i find a heatsink with 80mm fan)

im running a AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ at 3.013 GHZ and its at 40c and ive been running it for almost 4 hours now

they OCZ vendetta 2 uses a 120mm fan and yes you can put what ever fan you want on the cooler, your just going to have to run it off one of your 3 pin power connectors.

I just use intel's stock i7 CPU fan....pretty quiet, but my CPU also doesn't get that hot, lol

...... it just looks like garbage lol

EDIT.

one important thing i should note. using a non stock CPU cooler voids your CPUs warranty

eh, idc, lmao....it works just fine!  As long as it's functional, it's great, besides, I could mod it w/ LED's if I wanted to, xP

Good graphics cards are gonna be 175+  for the high end....so I'd save up, but you could get liquid cooling, looks cool and works wonders for another $30 maybe?

Intel "loaner" CPU's don't have a warranty....xD

Plan

Buy the 120mm version of the Ocz Vendeta. swap the fan with my antec tri-cool and put the stock ocz fan on my side panel.

use the rest of the money on tjharlow? switches for my cold cathodes.

or use the rest of the money for something else.

Why can't you buy a new cpu? Money?

yes money is the problem.

Well im thinking about getting these things

Ocz Vendetta

I need help finding a fan controller. 4-6 controllable fans

Should i get Ram Cooler?
I was thinking about the Corsair Dominator like yours tec
Title: Re: Cpu Cooler
Post by: Tec_ on June 07, 2009, 01:18:48 PM
none of that, with exception of the fan controller is necessary the cpu cooler will help but is not necessary. ram coolers are a joke. the only reason i have one is because it came with my ram.

and im not sure but dont you have the antec tri cool fans? they use the 4 pin molex conector and all fan controlers have 3 pin hedders on them. so you may or may not need to swap out all your fans.

Ill just prob get a fan controller then.

oh the fan controller comes with these wires taht convert to 4pin molex.

also the antec tri-cools come with 3 and 4 pin molexes. like 1 regular 3 pin fan and 1 4 pin molex

MY SOUND REACTIVE CATHODES COME TOMMROW :D

Get a Sunbeam Rheobus 20w for controlling your fans. I have one and its very good with 2-3 fans per channel. The OCZ CPU cooler is good but I recommend getting the Xigamatek HDT-S1283 instead. It's cheaper after MIR and it performs very well.
