Hey all,

So I’m totally new to mods and the like, but I like tinkering with stuff when I feel inclined.  Last such excursion was when I spilled coffee all over my out-of-warranty 60Gb PS3   It wouldn’t recognize discs so I opened it up and figured out that the sensor responsible for “checking” to see if there’s a disc had a nice coffee film on it.  Wiped it off with some lens solution and voila!  Worked!

Anyways, I have a black PSP 3000 and want to add a unique touch to it.  I want to start out really small and just add some red buttons which I think would look nice.

Is there anywhere online that offers such repair parts for the PSP 3000?  I found some on ebay, but it comes with a faceplate which I don’t need…  and is from China so I’d rather not pay 30 bucks….

Also, is there a disassembly tutorial for the 3000 I can take a look at…  or is it sufficient to check out some 2000 tutorials?

lol lucky with the ps3..!!

and try 'dealextreme' or 'coolmods' for buttons.. (google them)

And try youtube for a disemmbly of a 3000.. should be a few on there...

I can't seem to get on to dealextreme...  and coolmods doesn't seem to have anything for the PSP 3000 at all :(

I may have to settle on those Chinese buttons...

I can't even find a red housing for the 3000 except on ebay

Hmm well i was able to get on yesterday, but it seems to be down again....

Anyways, thanks for the replies guys.  One more question, does anyone make jewels here anymore?  It would be a simple design.   I'm thinking a pentagram or something similar :)  Satan's PSP  :cool:

for jewels you should try shatteredmods.com but maybe , just maybe Phenomenal might start selling jewels.... Try pm'ing him .... But you'll get them on shattered mods for sure...

Shatteredmods is the best place to get them. They have experience, and their quality is amazing.
