well guys i quit my crappy job in favor of a better one today and i had all day to tinker. so i went to micro center to pick up a card reader for my mom and i left with a set of cold cathodes and an idea. my next stop was radio shack ware i picked up some wire. next i went to auto zone and picked up a 12v switch.
when i got home i went dash board diving and pulled my switch panel out and took a dremel to it.

next i soldered on some lead wires

the switch lights up, but sadly not the blue i would have expected

i wired in the switch and the cold cathodes and this is what i came up with

and like you should do after any good mod i kicked back and relaxed with my brother and drank a brew and had a nice cigar

i had the :censored:tiest day ever.
my house was just built 1 1/2 years ago and today the :censored:ign ac broke. its almots 90 degrees in the house!!. worst of all i had my 2 yr old baby cousin over too :\

Lighting outside the car is illegal on a moving vehicle in the US.
(Or maybe it's just emergency vehicle colors that are illegal, but you can still get pulled over for having any lit while driving)

well i had the lights on on my way home form work tonight and the switch is way to bright, its going to get changed out tomorrow and the drivers side cathode needs to be adjusted you can kind of see it because its not as far back as the other one. but im so so happy with the way it turned out.

I put red and blue flashing lights on my bike along with a 130db siren, so epic... hahhaha (activated by a hidden switch obviously)

hey... we all are ricers in a way... ^_^ its just that we mod game consoles and not cars ... ppl on this site are dedicated to modding and stuff... putting lights in gaming consoles... so why not cars :D
