In my old PSP 3K review I posted that once it's hacked I'll be using it.
I'm glad I didn't update and waited.
Now my PSP 3K is on 5.03 and running CFEnabler. :D
Are there many others that were so lucky?
Because many newer PSP3000's come with a firmware that is above 5.03.
And are closed to the tiff exploit that is needed for ChickHEN to work
which is then used to run Custom Firmware Enabelers.

Well the I got the CFEnabler on mine. How the hell did you get permenant 5.00m33-6 on the 3000? I want!

No-one did. It's impossible. using CFEnabler is probably what they used. They haven't found a workaround for the pre-ipl on it. CFE gives the PSP 5.00 m33-6 firmware capabilities. It's not perminant.

Custom firmware enablers only remain in PSP's memory
Until a FULL PSP shutdown or a possible crash.
However while PSP is in sleep mode it will work just like the Custom Firmware on psp's that can get a full installation.
And even though some files needed for it to work are flashed to flash0.
They do not replace any of the existing Sony PRX's.
And are simply loaded via the loader.
Custom firmware must be loaded again Via ChickHEN R2 if a full shutdown is done.
But it's not necessary.
PSP can remain in standby mode indefinitely as long as the batter is kept charged.
Only disadvantage to Custom firmware on a PSP3000 or PSP2000 ta-088v3.
Is that if a brick occurs from flashing anything wrong.
Unbricking the PSP is impossible.

Depending on his PSP.
If it's a 1000 or 2000 below TA-088v3.
Running ChickHEN R2 and then using Recovery Flasher.
A full installation of CFW is possible.

If his PSP is a TA-088v3 or 3000:
The pre-ipl has not yet been hacked on these motherboards.
And installing a full Custom firmware to these PSP's will FULLY BRICK them.

but he got it hacked but its not permanent.

How come you can't run a recovery flasher on a PSP 3000 while it is running a CFW enabler?

well i had a hacked 3001 with 5.03 gen-c thann i was updateing to 5.50 gen-d3 and it cut it self off and got bricked so i just sended it to sony they gave me a new psp 3001
